Lately on the 'stead, and a fast project

6:40 PM

Summers here mean the following cycle:

Swimming
Eat
Sleep
Swimming
Eat
Sleep

With a few library and duck pond trips thrown in for a chance to wear clothes.

We're having a 1950s summer. I've signed my kids up for nothing, save Vacation Bible School, so we have nowhere to go. People ask my plans and I come up with...um...grocery shopping? Maybe mop a floor or two?

Or mostly swim, eat and sleep.

It's been pretty fantastic.

We've hosted some swim parties, captured lightning bugs, playdoughed, crafted, watermelon-seed-spit-contested and slurped many a peach.

Anyway, here's a fun/cheap/easy project that always looks fabulous.

Go buy some cable ties, spray paint, round things (don't know what they're called - but easy to find at Lowe's or HD) and curtain rings.

Just spray paint it all, then install in your pre-drilled hole.

Cut off the remaining cable tie end, and you have the easiest, cheapest brass pull.

Check out that blue and white checkered linoleum. It's being replaced with tile on Saturday!
